Mayfest

This morning the family (minus Julie who had other plans) went downtown for Mayfest.  They always do a great job in the KidsZone.  This year they even had an art gallery for kids.  Kids could go in and pick out any piece of art they wanted for $5.  What a great idea!  I was so excited to go in with Reese.  She picked a necklace which I thought was sort of lame, but she loved it and that's what it was all about!

First up was a fossil dig.  The kids enjoyed digging in the sand for the various fossils!  Then we went to the bear clinic.

After the bears were decorated the big kids took their bears through the "clinic".  Finn was not interested so he went out to search for some bubbles :)

After finishing up in the KidsZone, we went for a walk through the vendors.  There were some pretty cool things for sale, but we all resisted the urge to make any purchases.  Then it was time for lunch.  We decided to go into a restaurant and sit down since we had such a big group.  It was a great decision!  We ate burgers at Billy's.  They were delicious and we were able to cool off for a bit. 

 

 

For dessert the kids picked cotton candy!
